Karlie Kloss – This all-American girl’s name is on everyone’s lips and has made a mark on – and off – the runway during Fashion Week. The 18-year-old St. Louis native has the allure and style that designers crave for their shows and praise her cat-like movement and finesse. Kloss has a background in ballet, which she attributes to her success on the runway, and she most certainly shows it when she’s on the catwalk. This week she’s modeled on the runway for both Carolina Herrera and Donna Karan, in which she closed the latter’s show in a pale gray viscose satin gown. The designers aren’t the only ones who love Karlie. Photographers are fixated on her as well. Kloss seems to know how to work for the camera and, according to Karl Prouse of the International Herald Tribune, she gives the photographers more time to photograph her. This young model has a great deal going for her; she’s already done advertisement gigs for YSL, Oscar de la Renta and is the face of Dior. But this only the beginning.
