Dare to Be Plus-Sized Model

Last week I posted a pic of Olga Sherer on Twitter. I named it The-Still-Alive-Anorexic Model. Pity she is, her natural beauty is covered by anorexic body. People talk about it, many of us realize that she might be an anorexic model due to her physically appearance. See this pic below.

Totally beautiful and gorgeous. But, so skinny legs she has.

Olga Sherer comes from Russia. She is one of truly Russian's beauties, besides Vlada Roslyakova, Maryna Linchuk, Irina Kulikova, Anabela Belikova and others. With that shiny red hair, she has good career in International Modelling Industry. She has worked for many well-known designers, such as Anna Sui. Leaving Russia and travels the world make her becomes one of famous Belarus Model ( Belarus : Soviet Union and Ex).

It is just an introduction for tonight post. When I upload a photo of her and spontaneously my friend got shock and commented that the photo was so scary. My friend worried about being anorexic or too skinny due to having eating disorder. Of course me too. Honestly, I really wanna have slim body but the natural, naturally skinny. Well, from the title you may know what I'm gonna talk about. Yep, skinny model becomes Plus-Sized Model.

What is Plus-Sized Model? A fat one? Nope. In modelling we might know two kinds of body, namely Straight-Sized Model (0-2) and Plus-Sized Model (6-10). What's the different? For you who doesn't like modelling/fashion so much, maybe you don't know what does the number mean. Let me tell you, normal person has body measurement on cloth circa 6-10 (Euro measurement), on the other hand, the skinny one has 0-4. Get it? Let's go on. So. a model with 6-10 cloth size might be called plus-sized model. It's not an irritating or offensive statement because modelling claims the two division of model. 

Further more, I'll give you an example. Normally straight-sized model has full-body measurement,like this :

Height: 5'10"

Weight: 48kgs

Bust: 32-33'

Waist: 23-26'

Hips: 33-35'

Shoes: 8-10'

After the long introduction, we're going to the main point. A Plus-Sized Model. Who is that? Alyona Osmanova (31th of March, 1988). Anyone knows her? An Ukrainian model with blonde hair. She was a straight-sized model before she decided to be plus-sized model or we might say normal lady. What was going on her life?

She used to be skinny, being a model, from one fashion show to another one, from Paris to Tokyo. She has everything, popularity, high salary and many friends all over the world. So what's the matter? She lost herself!   She was very tired of doing diet, work out and having eating disorder. She wants to live her life normally like others do. Eat everything she likes, do not doing so many works out and without any mocking " you are fat, you have to lose weight some pounds ". She fucking hated it.

Since 2006, the very first of modelling experience, she used to have long skinny legs, flat tummy and chest but everything has been changed in 2010! She remained nothing she used to be. She gained many pounds, had fatty belly, big boobs and also sexy hips, yet she lost her career temporarily until FORD mg. helped her to remain good career. FORD mg. is the one model management which has that two division I've told you. Alyona's former management, L Models is still being her mother agency. 

So, what about the people and things beyond her model career? Not all of 'em could accept this controversial change. People come and go just to ask her why she let go her great success while having skinny body, sometimes they mocked too. But step by step Alyona can survive and stand so strong on her own feet. She's back! Being the part of FORD, she still joins some famous runway, works for gorgeous designers. No matter what. The important things are, she feels so normal, finds her own self and living a positive life with the healthy body, of course. Have no any reason not to agree with Alyona.
